PRAYER: Pray for good, ongoing communication with local officials about the existence of forced labour in their regions, so that IJM can work effectively with them to address the issue. Pray for our team as they continue to collaborate with officials in Labour, Judiciary, and Police departments for coordinated action to protect people from slavery.
PRAISE AND PRAYER: 27 people were recently rescued from a sugarcane farm in South Asia! These families had been forced to work for a decade, and some children were even born in bondage. Pray for these survivors on their road to recovery from trauma and oppression. Pray for IJM and our local partners who are helping them on their healing journey.
PRAISE: IJM has officially launched our program in Bangladesh. In September, we were excited to gather key officials, local partners, survivor leaders, and global experts for the formal opening of the office. Building on our experience and successes in other South Asia regions, our Bangladesh team will strengthen the justice system to protect children from commercial sexual exploitation.
