Our ELL Alpha started off this past Tuesday with a bang! We had 9 guests attend from a variety of countries: Iran, Korea and China. We are expecting more guests for our 2nd week.
We are thankful for the helpers and meal makers who stepped up! We couldn't run this Alpha without their help.
Alpha is a 11-week session designed for people who want to explore the Christian faith with other. It’s an opportunity for our international friends to hear the Gospel (potentially for the first time) and explore a relationship with Jesus. enjoy food with new friends, watch engaging short films that spark conversation, and explore Christianity with no pressure.
Ways you can get involved:
Come:
- If English is not your first language…come and enjoy food with new friends, watch a short video and explore the Christian faith with no pressure.
Invite:
- Start praying about who God may be calling you to invite. Grab an invitation card at the Connect Desk. Invite an international friend…and come yourself too!
Serve:
- We are looking for people to provide a simple meal (soups would be great!), desserts or both!
- We are looking for people to help set up and with dishes/clean up while the session is going on.
Pray:
- For the Lord to lead our international friends to Alpha
- For the guests who will attend
- For the facilitators and helpers
