This Sunday, we will be inviting all children aged K+ to stay in the main service to watch the baptisms.

At the end of the service, we will be sharing communion as a church family. Your children are very welcome to take communion too if they would like to. If your child is unfamiliar with what communion means, here are some great resources to help:

Today we pray for our local Missions Partner - the Mustard Seed who ministers to downtown Victoria people in need, providing a Food Bank and Food Security Distribution Centre, Lunches and Hospitality, Family Centre and the Mustard Seed Coffee Co. They also have a Street Church. 

The Women's Christmas Tea, which we are hoping to hold on Saturday November 19, is a great opportunity to invite friends and neighbours into the church building, to show love and hospitality, and get in the mood for the Christmas season! 

There is good food, a market with local vendors for Christmas shopping, a guest speaker, entertainment, fellowship - and even door prizes.

But we need lots of hands to make it happen!

We need people to host a table - bring your favourite dishes to set up a beautiful table, and make people feel welcome.

We need helping hands - to assist with set up and food prep on Nov 18 and/or 19

and we need vendors for the Christmas market.

The specific needs and roles are:

Cook Team: 2-3 people - prep meal 3:45 to 5:45 pm then pass over to prep team

Prep Team: 2-3 people - package meals prepared and desserts; assist in serving at the pick up window, and clean up 5:30 - 7:30

Women’s Gatherings: women of all ages and stages coming together, leaning into God and one another more closely. Building real, raw, honest relationships and community. Worship, prayer, learning, growing, and healing.

This season's theme: Community Garden

Marriage Matters evenings are designed for couples to intentionally work on their marriages. They involve teaching, reflection, communication, and goal-setting to help couples enhance and solidify this central relationship in life. 

October 24 – We’re starting our Marriage Matters series by crafting a theology of marriage. Does it matter? Why? What does God think of marriage? What might we think? Why is our culture seemingly so opposed to marriage? We’ll journey together through these questions and others, examining Scripture, historical wisdom, and our own experiences.
