Advent Project 2020

For our Advent Giving Project this year, entitled ‘Missions in Need’, we hope to raise $10,000 to support our missional partners who have been uniquely affected this year by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Our main focus will be for Mahima Homes in Kolkata, India. Mahima Homes works to provide aftercare for survivors of sex trafficking, including minors.

Earlier this year, Smita Singh, who was the Director of Mahima Homes passed away, and the whole organisation feels her loss very deeply.

They are looking to build a new hub for their ministry called the Smita Singh Memorial House - a restorative care home for girls aged 12-18 who have been rescued from the sex trade. Work is already underway and they are making good progress, and we would like to contribute towards this important project.
