Brent and Shelley Weeks

This week we pray for Brent and Shelley Weeks our missionaries in Melbourne, Australia who transmit shortwave and radio broadcasts in many languages to tell listeners in the Asia Pacific region about Jesus. Brent and Shelley are sent by SonSet solutions Canada, and are serving with Reach Beyond in Australia.

We join Brent and Shelley in prayer and praise for the following items:

• Pray for shortwave radio and WhatsApp listeners in India who have accepted Jesus and are learning about the Christian life.
• Praise God for orchestrating rainy weather, shelters and favourable responses from holidaying families as we did outreach programs at campgrounds in early January. Nelson, along with his puppet Gilbert, were part of the team.
• The four of us down under (Brent, Shelley, Nelson and Malcolm) all had COVID back in mid-January. Thankfully, symptoms were mild to moderate, and between friends and online grocery orders, we more than survived our time of isolation at home.
• Please pray for a favourable outcome to a review of Shelley’s 2020 Canadian tax return, impacting both that year and future tax years based on how we currently need to file tax returns in both Canada and Australia.
• Please pray for Shelley’s father, Carl, as he recovers from COVID at the nursing home where he lives.
• Please pray for Shelley as she works through some increased symptoms, testing and treatment for the condition of IIH (Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension). discovered last year. She has a lumbar puncture coming up on the 23rd of February.
