Brent & Shelley Weeks

Today we pray for Brent and Shelley Weeks our missionaries based in Melbourne, Australia. They work to transmit shortwave and radio gospel broadcasts to listeners in the Asia Pacific region. They are sent by SonSet Solutions Canada to work with Reach Beyond in Australia. 

Here’s an update from them:

We arrived back in Melbourne (from the transmitting station in Kununurra) on the 21st of May, allowing Shelley to attend some medical appointments, as well as opportunities to catch up with our boys, friends, co-workers and church here.

Praise the Lord for a good report from her latest visit to the Eye and Ear Hospital – she may be nearing “graduation” with the neuro ophthalmologist asking her to try reducing her medication, and setting her next appointment for 6 months out again.

We are scheduled to return to Kununurra on the 9th of July to work on a number of projects, including antenna repairs, taking advantage of the cooler dry season and working with volunteers who have come to help with the ministry.

We join them in prayer for the following prayer items:

• Pray for effective use of the remaining couple of weeks in Melbourne.   
• Pray for a productive time working with volunteers and staff back in Kununurra, as we work on some key maintenance tasks there in the next few months.   
• Please pray with us as we seek God regarding a longer term move to Kununurra.     
• Please pray for our eldest son Trevor and Chelsea as they visit Ecuador from 17 June to 14 July. It’s his first trip back since 2012.
