Brent & Shelley Weeks

This week, we pray for our missions partners, Brent and Shelley who are based in Melbourne, Australia and work  to transmit shortwave and radio gospel broadcasts to listeners in the Asia Pacific region. They are sent by SonSet solutions Canada to serve with Reach Beyond in Australia.

Over the last months, the Weeks have been back and forth between “home” in Melbourne and the short wave broadcast site at Kununurra.  In July and August they had a number of volunteers at Kununurra who helped with everything from cleaning rooms and raking leaves to vehicle, transmitter, and antenna maintenance. Please join us in thanking God for relationships built, safety on the job and work accomplished.

They are now preparing for a shortwave schedule change with Shelley busy preparing audio programming and timings.

Earlier this year, Brent and Shelly were asked to consider moving from Melbourne to Kununurra to take on the broadcast engineering roles at the shortwave broadcast site. Following much prayer, discussions and consultations, they've  reached a decision, Lord willing, to move to Kununurra in 2024.

Please pray for them as they prepare to move and for listeners to the shortwave broadcasts – that people would come to know Jesus and be encouraged in their life of faith.

Brent and Shelly Weeks will be in Canada for a brief visit in November - watch for them in church and introduce yourself to learn more about them and their work.
