Brent & Shelley Weeks

Today, we pray for our missions partners, Brent and Shelley Weeks, who are based in Australia and work to transmit shortwave and radio gospel broadcasts to listeners in the Asia Pacific region. Brent and Shelley are currently home in Canada and will be with us in our service this Sunday. 

We pray for the team covering for them in Australia, for journey mercies, good visits with family, friends and supporters, and energy to keep up with everything.

We especially pray for listeners in Myanmar and those who are forced to navigate the activities of resistance forces and the military as well as the seasonal flu, malaria, and other diseases.  We pray for needed medical interventions. We give thanks for the reports received recently about how the radio programs have been a blessing in the villages and specifically pray for the listener who wrote, “I have new assurance of faith. It is an indescribable joy for me. Thank God that I have the opportunity to share the message I heard from the program to my people.”

This Sunday, after the service there will be a chance to gather in the cafe with Brent and Shelley to hear more and pray for their work in Australia.
