This week we pray for Daniel & Sandi McDougall who minister to international students at UVic leading them to discover Jesus through the Word of God, and preparing them to serve God wherever He leads them.
Pictured above is Sandi with a friend from Colombia who has recently graduated.
We join with them in the following praise and prayer points.
Praise:
We've just come through Convocation/Graduation season at UVic and finally got to see some of our student friends after the relaxation of Covid gathering restrictions (some even three years after they completed their studies).
Sandi has returned from our National Staff Conference held on campus at UBC (Vancouver). I attended virtually via Zoom (due to vertigo's ongoing energy and balance issues) and we were both encouraged by some Covid-sparked creative ministry ideas. Clearly, physical restrictions do NOT hinder the Spirit's work!
We continue to be encouraged by our present hybrid methods of ministry: small in-person gatherings as well as virtual gatherings via Zoom and other protocols. It's fun being 'old dogs learning new tricks'!
Prayer:
Related to the first Praise item, please do pray for students returning to their home countries strewn around the globe, and especially that they would be embraced by trustworthy Jesus-followers and congregations.
Pray for new volunteers to come alongside us, especially as the Fall academic term quickly approaches.
Pray that our financial resources would increase, especially with the rise of fuel and food costs.
