ELL (English Language Learners)

We are excited to see how God has blessed this ministry over the past few months. Since October 2020, we have been running 3 Zoom classes. A beginner and an intermediate class on Monday evenings and a Bible Study class on Thursdays.

Although the number of students has declined due to other commitments and returning to their home country, we are encouraged by the level of engagement of the students who continue to attend. Students have been enthusiastic to attend class together to continue to develop their English language skills. Group discussions have been lively. Students are interactive and open in sharing themselves and their faith journey.

We have a vision to broaden the ELL ministry over Zoom and through smaller in person groups over this next season. We would love to get more people involved in connecting with students one-to-one virtually or face to face.

Please pray:

• Thanking God for the high level of student engagement during the classes.
• For deepening of faith of students who are believers
• That God would continue to reveal himself to those who are seeking
• For a student who recently received a Chinese Bible and is enthusiastic to get to study and know Jesus more
• That students will experience the love of God and get to know Jesus
• That God will lead new learners to both Monday and Thursday classes
• For teachers to continue to improve their skills in facilitating classes via Zoom
• For wisdom and guidance for leaders in planning and teaching classes
• For others within our church family with a desire to show love and hospitality to foreign visitors to join the ELL Ministry
