Today we pray for our project in the Sasiga Mid-Highlands in Ethiopia. We have been partnering with Food for the Hungry (FH) in Sasiga since 2005 and continue to work with community and church leaders to improve the lives and living conditions of the community members.
This is the latest report from FH regarding their work in Ethiopia and the project in Sasiga.
“While the conflict is an ongoing reality for our staff and communities, FH Ethiopia continues to monitor the situation closely and upholds strict security protocols to protect the safety of staff as they carry out their activities. Through various donors, FH Ethiopia also continues to carry out humanitarian interventions in various conflict and drought-affected areas throughout the country, including food and shelter items for displaced peoples.”
Specifically in the Sasiga Mid-Highlands.
“Our staff remain resolute to fulfill their commitment to our partners in these difficult times. There have been some weeks this year where staff needed to cancel trips to communities due to instability, but we completed our planned activities safely.
It is a volatile situation that is difficult to predict, but we have done our work successfully and safely. Thank you for your continuous prayer for which we praise God. In this VUCA (volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous) situation we are grateful for our donors' commitment to walk with our community in Sasiga.”
