Today, we pray for the new project in Leka Dulecha,  Ethiopia. We have been partnering with Food for the Hungry (FH) in Ethiopia since 2005 and are now part of their new project in Leka Dulecha.  FH works with community and church leaders to improve the lives and living conditions of the community members.
 
Here are some items they are asking us to pray about:
  • The Country Office is impacted by the USAID funding cuts. We pray for the team to have wisdom to navigate changes in funding and the current challenges.
  • Tensions are rising in the north of the country, so we pray for peace and security, and the continued ability of the team to work safely in those regions.
  • Praise that the team is currently working with the community on co-creation sessions to design the activities they will be conducting in Leka Dulecha! These sessions have been going really well so far. We pray for a smooth and successful start-up of the work there.
