Today we pray for one of our international missions partners - International Justice Missions’ and their program in South Asia to combat sex trafficking. They rescue victims, partner with police agencies to ensure that survivors are treated with dignity and respect, bring criminals to justice, restore survivors and strengthen justice systems – all in partnership with various other agencies. Here are current praise and prayer items.
PRAISE – Government directorate designates IJM to conduct trainings on trauma informed care: The state Directorate of Child Rights and Trafficking has designated IJM and key authorities to conduct trainings on trauma informed care (TIC) for counsellors, caseworkers, and protection officers in all districts of the state. This is a significant development toward mainstreaming TIC for survivors of trafficking in childcare institutions. IJM is looking forward to organizing these trainings once local COVID-19 restrictions are lifted.
PRAYER – End of Project evaluation and casework transition: After years of successful casework in combating the commercial sexual exploitation of children (CSEC), IJM’s CSEC program in this region will be finishing later this year. Please pray for the End of Protection Evaluation studies as we conclude this program. Pray also for our team, as they continue to protect people from violence by transitioning to combat forced labour alongside IJM’s other teams through a unified program in the region.
