This week our missions prayer is for our international missions partners - International Justice Missions (IJM) and their program in South Asia. They rescue victims, partner with agencies to bring criminals to justice, restore survivors, and work to strengthens justice systems.
IJM recently shared the story of Mahila who was sold into a brothel at age 13. Though she was trapped, an IJM supported team was investigating brothels in that area. – and they found her. With a supportive community around her, she began to heal, put herself through school, and in 2022, she passed the bar to become a lawyer!
In fact, Mahila is the first survivor of sex trafficking, supported by IJM South Asia, to become a lawyer! We praise God for the many miracles changing lives through the work of IJM.
