Mahima Homes

Today we pray for our missions partner, Mahima Homes in Kolkata, India which provides aftercare for girls and children who were rescued from being trafficked in the sex trade. Mahima helps restore and heal their broken lives and ensure they are reintegrated into society with dignity.

They have asked us to join them in bringing these requests to God:

1. Pray for continued protection in the homes as there were over 20 cases of covid19 with the girls and staff in the last few months.

2. Pray for Sutapa, the staff and the girls as they just had a remembrance service one year after Smita’s passing. (Smita Singh, the founder Mahima Homes died from Covid.)  They are still trying to process and come to grips with what happened.

3. Pray for all the staff at JKPS (Mahima’s sponsoring agency) and for the nation of India as covid19 still rages.

4. Pray for the ongoing construction of the new building (named in Smita’s honour).
