Mahima Homes

Today we pray for our missions partner - Mahima Homes in Kolkata, India which provides aftercare for girls and children who were rescued from being trafficked in the sex trade. Mahima helps restore and heal their broken lives and ensure they are reintegrated into society with dignity.

We join Mahima and their sponsoring agency (JKPS) in prayer as they search for a new Director for Mahima.  Sutapa, who has been leading Mahima for the last year has resigned. We pray for the right person to come forward for this position.

The government has now directed that the kids need to be sent home after a specified  amount of time at the homes. This has caused concern and trauma for the staff regarding the kids' progress in their individual healing journey and the situation in the home that they are returning to. 

We pray for wisdom and strength for the staff as they attempt to complete the restoration process for the kids within the prescribed  timelines and for them to accept that they have done all they can.  We also pray for ongoing protection for the children who are leaving the homes.  

We pray for Finney who is with JKPS.  He has been travelling in the US since December speaking in churches and with groups across the US and visiting family. While he was travelling he contracted Covid. He is now feeling fine and is back with his daughter and son-in-law isolating and will travel back to India as soon as he can.
