Today we pray for our International Missions Partner OM Ships International.  

OM’s Ship Ministry is sharing knowledge, help and hope in and around the world's port cities.  While the ship is in port, teams visit communities to offer practical help and the hope of the gospel alongside local churches and partner agencies.

Here are some current items for prayer:

  1. Pray for Nathan Schmutz, as the newly appointed Director of the Doulos Hope. Praying for wisdom and guidance for Nathan and Ruth as they begin this new season on board. More details: https://www.om.org/eng/ships/stories/warm-welcome-new-doulos-hope-director

  1. Pray for new recruits to join the ships. With the two ships now we have a lot of opportunities to serve on-board, or on-shore.

    1. There are many opportunities for 1 and 2 year commitments, with no previous training required.

    2. We are also in need of professionals, marine engineers, HVAC technicians, cooks, nurses, IT/media specialists.

    3. Several short term opportunities (1 - 3 months) exist as well. These are meant for training and learning more about multi-cultural missions.

  1. Pray for the future ports of call as the ships sail to their next destinations. Pray that God would protect them as they travel, and also that He would prepare the hearts of the communities they will be serving when they arrive. The Doulos Hope is currently sailing to Bangkok, Thailand. The Logos Hope is currently in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania, and later this month will be in Madagascar.
