OM Ships International
This week we pray for our Missions Partner OM Ships International. Their ships visit ports around the world with an international crew and staff of volunteers who work with local churches in each port to impact the community. Local people are invited onboard to visit the ships’ floating book fair (often a first-ever opportunity to purchase quality educational and Christian literature) and hear the message of the gospel.
Here are some prayer requests and praise items from them:

Pray for wisdom and direction for the crew as they set up and anticipate future port visits. Pray that God would prepare the hearts of those they will visit.

Logos Hope: Finishing off their time in West Africa, and will then be on their way to South America.

Doulos Hope: A few more months in the Philippines, then onto Taiwan.

Pray for: recruiting marine professionals. This is an ongoing need for the fleet, but please pray specifically for the growing need on Doulos Hope.

Praise for those who were part of the successful time the Doulos Hope had in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. There had been concerns that the berth might be difficult for visitors to access and that there wouldn’t be enough books to purchase because the book shipment was late. Nevertheless, they made it through the whole port with shelves filled with books and were always able to offer a stocked bookfair to visitors. Over 39,000 books were purchased!
