Today we pray for our International Missions Partner OM Ships International. Their ship, Logos Hope, visits ports around the world inviting people onboard to visit the floating book fair (often a first-ever opportunity to purchase quality educational and Christian literature), partnering with local churches and going out into surrounding areas to help meet local needs.
This weekend, the Logos Hope is scheduled to arrive in Freetown, Sierra Leone after almost 2 years of ministry in the Caribbean. The ship is scheduled to be in West Africa for the next 4 months.
We pray for:
- those who visit the ship, that they will be impacted by God’s love when they step on board
- for open doors doors in West Africa: for favor with the local authorities and opportunities to serve
- for good relations with the local Church - their support and partnership is vital to follow-up contacts crew make
- for God’s provision in the areas of finance: for funding the overall costs of the ship and individual support for the 40 Africans looking to join the ship
- For continued protection from Covid – there was one case on board recently but we praise God that there was no further spread
- We especially pray for Lucia Harder – one of our own young people who is currently doing a short term program on the ship. We ask that she continue to adjust to life on the ship and that she is able to use her giftings well to serve others and share Jesus.
