IJM South Asia Vision Trip

This April, two members of the Lambrick Community, Kenzie and Jon will be heading to South Asia to meet with our missional partners, International Justice Mission (IJM). This will be the first time Lambrick has had an opportunity to see firsthand the work IJM is doing.

International Justice Mission Canada will be leading this trip as we seek to learn from the IJM South Asia leaders and partners protecting vulnerable men, women, and children from violence, strengthening justice systems, and working alongside police to rescue victims of injustice. We hope this experience will enhance our knowledge of their programs and help connect us with their work in a deep and meaningful way.

Through this trip, we hope to:

  • Learn about IJM’s innovative initiatives that are making justice unstoppable
  • Connect with local NGOs and aftercare providers to see how IJM is scaling protection through partners
  • Experience South Asian culture by learning about the history of the country and tasting local cuisine
  • Encourage and be encouraged by the IJM South Asia team

Bob's Daily Updates

What is Bob up to today?

Day 1
Bob up in the clouds!
Day 2
A 16.5 hr flight sure is long! So Bob is taking the opportunity to play a little hide and seek in all the greenery at the Singapore Airport!
Day 3
It's been a busy day exploring the city and learning lots about the people, so Bob and the team are spending the night praying for this place God so dearly loves.
Day 4
Bob learning from an IJM hero, whose work has been foundational for freeing roughly 400,000 people already!
Day 5
Impressed with the strength and resilience of the survivors we got to meet today, Bob spent some time shopping in their store full of things they've personally made. Even got something for the church to help us remember!
Day 6
After hearing from some amazing kids that have been rescued, Bob got to refuel with some more delicious food. A fusion dish this time!
Day 7
Bob has loved the food here, so much so that he wants to try and make some back home.
Day 8
Bob was excited to get to worship Jesus with new friends this morning. And they had a really old Bible- imagine how many people have read that!
Day 9
While preparing for the roughly 31 hours of travel to get home, Bob takes a moment to think about all the things he's learned and new friends he's made on this trip.
Day 10
Over 24 hrs into the travel home and Bob was so tired he wanted to try some coffee... but he didn't like the taste. He's still too young for coffee.
