Growing up, my family and I attended Lambrick. When I was around 18, I was baptised in what was then our new church building; my faith journey was well on its way: I had grown up in a Christian home and invited Jesus into my heart as a little guy. Over the years, my faith became my own, and I could discern the Holy Spirit working in me.
I attended Camosun and UVIC, eventually receiving an engineering degree. At the turn of the millennium, I moved to Calgary for my first job as an engineer. Not long after that I met and married Julie. Then it was 1, 2, 3 kids.
During this season, I started working on my Master of Divinity at Ambrose Seminary in Calgary. We weren’t sure where this would lead at the time. Transitioning from engineer to pastor seemed like a big change and it was: I eventually accepted the position of pastor at a small church in the village of Arrowwood, Alberta. The season that Julie, the kids, and I spent in Arrowwood was formative. Pastoring a small congregation and living a rural lifestyle was good.
A few years ago, we moved back to Victoria, and landed back here at Lambrick Park Church! I transitioned back into engineering and am now teaching at Camosun.
