Today our missions prayer is for Kelly and Celo Gahaya who are now in Victoria after years of leading a Counselling ministry in Rwanda. During this time of transition they have been dealing with immigration issues/documents for their daughter Jubilee.  They are urgently requesting our prayers regarding their current situation.

"We received a letter last week from Canadian immigration. It's in regards to Jubilee's temporary residency. They asked us to send a copy of Jubilee's  passport to them  to issue her new TRP (Temporary Resident Permit). However, she doesn't have a valid passport. It expired in September 2023. We applied for this resident permit in January 2023, at which time we had a valid passport. Unfortunately, it took 14 months for us to hear anything from them. The problem is they only gave us until March 2  to produce a new passport or alternatively, we can write a letter indicating our reasons for not being able to produce the documents they have requested. 
 
This is the first time in 4 years that we have received any positive documentation from Canadian immigration. We have only received positive responses from them when we have been in person at the land border crossing when they saw us face to face. This feels big. But we serve a big God who has made a way for us to be here in Canada and he will continue the good work that he has already began for our family.
 
Please pray that they accept our reasoning for not having a valid passport and that they still grant us the Temporary Residency and ultimately eventually provide us with full Canadian citizenship."
