Wiseways Childcare Centre

This week we are praying for Wiseways Childcare Centre.  Based in our lower floor and the cottage next door to the church, Wiseways provides care for 3-5 year olds and their families in our community. 

Here is an update from Wiseways Director, Lisa Thomson

This year has started off smoothly and the children have done such a great job of settling into our program quickly. With some changes to our program and staffing over the summer, this is a big relief and shows that God has His hand over the operations of our Centre. Though we did have to close our Mouse House classroom for the year due to lower enrollment and staff changes, we trust that God has a plan for that space and how we can use it to serve the families of the community.

Prayer requests:

• For the health and safety of the children, staff, and families as we start a new school year together and get to know one another.
• For wisdom and guidance as we look ahead to the upcoming year and make plans for our program.
• That our open registration spaces will be filled so that we can support more families in our community.
• That we will fill find the right person to fill our open Early Childhood Educator position.

Praise Reports:

• We are so thankful that this year has started well, and that the children have settled in so quickly. 
• We feel so honoured to be a part of these children’s lives at such a formative time and that we get to share God’s love with them all. We are so for the families who are returning this year, and the families that are joining us for the first time to be a part of our Wiseways community. 
• We are thankful for Chloe Cox joining our team as a responsible adult, supporting our Ocean Adventure classroom. And, that she will be working towards getting her Early Childhood Education Assistant license over the coming months.
