Wiseways Childcare Centre

This week we are praying for our very local mission which is housed in our Church building - Wiseways Childcare Centre. Based in our lower floor and the cottage next door to the church, Wiseways provides care for 3-5 year olds and their families in our community. 

Here is an update from Wiseways Director, Lisa Thomson:  

This is such a fun time of year at Wiseways. The weather is warmer so we are able to be outside more (and we don’t have to put on as much gear to do so!). The children are settled, and we start to see big developmental leaps as the older children prepare for Kindergarten in the fall and the younger children get ready to be the ‘big kids’.  It is always such a joy to see the children mature in these ways and watch their interests and creativity grow. Thank you for your faithful prayers!  

Prayer requests:

• For the health and safety of all of the children, staff, and families that come through our doors.  
• For wisdom and guidance as we prepare for the summer program and the upcoming school year.   
• That we will find the right people to join our team so that we are able to reopen the Mouse House classroom in the Fall.  

Praise Reports:

• We are so thankful that each of the classrooms are feeling settled, and everyone has been relatively healthy this year! 
• It has been wonderful to have had all our classrooms full since January. This has helped bring us close to balancing our budget, despite low enrollment in the fall. 
• We are excited to welcome lots of new families, with full enrollment in September along with a waitlist of others hoping to join once we open the Mouse House classroom.
