Beginning of Life Ministry (BoL) was founded by Moldovans to support the people of Moldova. Moldova is a landlocked country in Eastern Europe, bordered by Romania and Ukraine. It is the least visited country in Europe as well as the poorest country in Europe. The Beginning of Life vision is to transform the nation through prevention and restoration programs that support victims of trafficking and abuse, young single mothers, and abandoned children. They raise awareness about the dangers of human trafficking to churches, schools, and society. The ministry also invests in the lives of Moldova’s future leaders, to bring about lasting change in the nation for years to come.
Partners International empowers local organizations that have a vision for holistic Christian ministry that impacts all dimensions of life. The focus is on building long-term relationships and to work through local Christian partners or indigenous ministries who bring the love of Jesus to thousands of vulnerable children, women, and people groups. They are serving the physical and spiritual needs of poor people in some of the most remote communities in the world.
After nearly two years since the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, 997,092 people have arrived in Moldova from Ukraine. As of end December 2023 approximately 115,000 refugees remained in the country, accounting for around 4 per cent of the total population. 81% are women and children. Beginning of Life is coordinating public, church, and other organizations to meet the needs of this influx of refugees. They have started programs for the Ukrainian refugees that utilize the existing programs that they have developed over the years working with at-risk people and those saved out of human trafficking.
Lambrick Park Church embarked on a vision trip to Moldova for 2 weeks in the summer of 2023 with Partners International to visit Beginning of Life Ministries. After the trip, we decided to enter a long-term partnership with them, through Partners Interational.
